We are currently fulfilling some of our residents” Living Wish”
with a new program we have begun at Orchard View Living Centre.
Residents have an opportunity to wish for something they would like to experience and we
try to fulfill their wishes with assistance from the community.
One of our residents, who turned 101 years old last week had never had a spa experience in her lifetime, so the spa came to her!
On Friday, Mary got a new hairdo, manicure, pedicure and facial done complimentary from our hairdresser Jackie as well as our esthetician Yazmin who both generously volunteered their services for her to have this special wish come true.
Mary said she felt amazing!
On Sunday afternoon, another resident Louise Davidson enjoyed a smooth ride on a Harley Davidson to make her wish of riding on a motorcycle come true.
Through the kindness and generosity of the Eastern Ontario Ottawa Harley Owners Group Chapter, their Director, Angus Gillis put a call out to their members to ask if anyone wanted to join him. To everyone’s surprise, 32 chapter members came on their motorcycles to escort her on a 25 minute ride through the countryside.
It was a beautiful afternoon for Louise who enjoyed the ride immensely and she
was filled with joy and memories to last a lifetime!
